If you are a brand making $10M in revenue, we would recommend budgeting 1%-2%, i.e. $100K-$200K for your data initiative to get the best results.  That would pay for the costs of the tools needed to move data, host that data in a data warehouse, and visualize it in a BI tool, plus the cost of personnel to make data work for the business.
